Garden furniture is available at the Pathway workshop Dunnocks Way. This is a workshop for disabled workers. who make various for the garden out of discarded wood. Support them with your purchases the funds raised help to keep this important site open.

Blackbird Leys Bowls Club are inviting residents to join their club. Don't think that it is only for the elderly many youngster play green bowls and have a good time. Go along and investigate for yourself.

Oxford United football club. There is a nine screen cinema, ten pin bowling, Gala Bingo hall, restaurants, a gym on the site and a Hotel. Every Sunday there is a car boot sale on the site.

Two public house serve the community; �The Blackbird� opened in 1962 and the �Bullnose Morris� opened in 1967. Both of these establishment serve a range of foods.

The City Council owns the Leisure Centre has been upgraded through a massive £1.7 million grant on Pegasus Road where many events take place throughout the year. There is also a bar and gym on site. The Area Committee meet on Blackbird Leys every 3rd month. on the first Monday. Come and see how your local City Councillors' perform. You can attend and have your say. Sometimes it is fun.

A swimming pool is situated behind the Community Centre on Blackbird Leys road.

The Community Centre has had a complete overhaul. It is hoped that the money has been well spent and give the residents something to be proud of. At this moment the main hall is used mainly for IT although there are some groups making use of it.

There is also a computer Hub at the Linx Centre which is open to all, with residents of the estate given priority. There are other computer hubs dotted around the estate so if this one is not convenient ask the staff for your nearest one. At the computer hub there are staff to give you help, so even if you haven't used a computer before go along and have a go. You may find out that you have the knack and overcome the fear of using a computer, I have. They have recently opened a modern music room, so all you budding musicians get along there and make use of the facility.

There is a variety of shops/takeaways on the estate where you can purchase most every day items.
